The class has just become an important part of my week and is something that I do for myself. I figure if I can consistently do this now, it will only help as I get older. It pushes me in a way that I would not push myself on my own. It is really the only group class I have ever stuck with and I find that I am far less stressed coming consistently and doing this for myself...allows me to work better

If you are an athlete or someone who lives an active lifestyle, it is very important to establish a stretching and recovery routine to balance your training. When this balance is not managed, it is only a matter of time before your body will breakdown or limit your performance. Strains, sprains and other sports related injuries can sideline you and be frustrating for any athlete. The ELDOA METHOD classes can help speed up the recovery time for not only acute injuries but can also help heal nagging chronic pains caused from inflammation and overuse. US Professional Athletes have been using these techniques to help get the edge on their competition and to have continued success in their sport. The ELDOA METHOD can really be a solution to longevity in sport and a lifetime of being active.

One of the most common postural problems is the forward head posture. Since we live in a forward facing world, the repetitive use of computers, TV, smart phones, trauma and even backpacks have forced the body to adapt to a forward head posture. Repetitive movements in a certain direction will reinforce nerve and muscle pathways to move that way more readily. The ELDOA METHOD classes can help to reverse these pathways by re-establishing your gravity line, strengthening the muscles of your abs, back, and spine, while correcting tensions of the restricted, overused muscles in your body.

I feel much more flexible and I seem to recover faster from the regular workouts… I must be crazy to do this, but should have started 40 years ago

A lot of my older friends and my husband are having serious physical problems and I am not. That is number 1-5 difference the class has made. I am in better condition.

"I wish that I knew what I know now, when I was younger!" FIghting gravity and the effects of inactivity is a lifelong endeavor! What are you doing to keep your spine strong, mobile, and healthy? Chronological aging may be inevitable but just as psychological health can be maintained with mental exercises, your biological health can be maintained and improved with the proper physical exercises. And It is never too late to start!

In the ELDOA Method classes, all of the positions can be modified to your specific needs or restrictions. The ELDOAs and Myofascial Stretches are incredible tools that can help combat the detrimental effects that aging can have on your body.  You may feel younger, taller, and more energetic when you make ELDOA METHOD classes part of your lifestyle.

Scoliosis is a side bending of the spine due to rotation of the vertebrae. This misalignment of the spine can be in the form of an 'S' curve or 'C' curve and can be of many varying degrees. There are many causes for scoliosis including a congenital predisposition. This is why, in many countries, children are often screened for the condition in school. Fifteen degrees of rotation is the typical orthopedic standard that requires treatment, which can come in the form of cumbersome back braces and physical therapy. However, unfortunately, ANY degree of scoliosis that a child has that is left untreated will potentially increase throughout their developing years and become permanent when they reach adulthood. Because ELDOAs are exercises that simultaneously work to strengthen, educate and realign all of the fascial connections in relation to the spine, there can be remarkable improvement found in the correction of scoliosis for both children and adults when performed as part of a daily routine.

If we were to gather a group of middle age folks (45 average age) who have NEVER had back pain before and shoot MRIs on them all, here’s what we would find:

  • 38% would have disc bulges,
  • 37% disc protrusions (aka: contained herniations),
  • 11% disc extrusions (aka: non-contained herniations)
  • 4% nerve route compression by the disc herniation.

Some statistics of Low Back Pain and how it could be related to degenerative disc disease and herniated discs:

  • Most common complaint among adults
  • Lifetime prevalence in working population up to 80%
  • 60% experience functional limitation or disability
  • Second most common reason for work disability
  • Despite advances in imaging and surgical techniques Low Back Pain prevalence and its cost are relatively unchanged
  • 90% people age >50 have degenerative disc disease

If you are suffering from or have recurring bouts of back pain caused by spinal injuries, the ELDOA METHOD may help! These postures can alleviate your symptoms by addressing the cause at the source of the problem. Attending the ELDOA METHOD Classes will help to decompress your spine and reinforce ideal posture so you can help reestablish a healthy spine!
